Our Festival is powered by a year-round community of wellness professionals dedicated to raising the profile of holistic health. We are practitioners, coaches, teachers, space holders and change-makers, united by a shared mission:

To promote authentic, accessible and community-rooted wellbeing.

Why it matters?

Whilst suffering continues to escalate on an individual and collective level, wellness has become commercialised, individualised and largely inaccessible.

Suicide is still the biggest killer of men 18-44
40% of premature deaths in the UK are caused by preventable diseases
30% of the population have one or more chronic conditions
Around 15 million people in England have problems with their joints, bones, and muscles
Long-term conditions account for 50% of GP appointments, 70% of hospital beds, and 70% of health and social care spending.

We believe we have an opportunity, right here in Brighton, to address and even alleviate these issues, whilst setting the standard for the rest of the industry.

Our commitment

At BWF, we believe wellness should be accessible to everyone, not just those historically centred in the conversation.

We actively welcome and support people of all ethnicities, cultures, genders, sexualities, body sizes, ages, abilities, and lived experiences.

We recognise that systemic inequality continues to shape access to care, and we’re committed to using our platform to challenge these barriers wherever we can.

Our goal is to create spaces where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued – where difference isn’t just accepted, but deeply respected.

We know this is ongoing work. We don’t pretend to have all the answers. That’s why we remain open to feedback, guided by the wisdom of our advisory board, and committed to listening, learning, and evolving as we grow.
