From Festival to Movement: Why BWF Is Evolving Into a Community
As the founder of Brighton Wellness Festival, I’ve been sitting with some big questions:
How do we truly represent the heart of this movement?
How do we cut through the noise and create something meaningful – something that actually reflects what wellness is meant to be?
It’s one thing to host a beautiful festival (and I love that part). But doing this work justice , especially in a time of deep social, economic, and emotional complexity, asks more. More integrity. More intention. More connection.
Where We Started
When I first birthed this idea, Brighton Wellness Festival was just that - a festival. A singular, powerful moment in the year where we could gather to showcase the incredible work you do and explore progressive conversations about what it truly means to be well.
And that works. But something was missing…
Where We Are Now
Over the past few months, through smaller talks and gatherings, I started to notice a theme:
We need more than a moment. We need space to stay connected, to cross-pollinate ideas, and to go deeper into the topics that matter. Not just once a year, but regularly. With continuity. With care. With community.
That’s when it clicked.
What’s Next: Introducing BWF Community
I’m thrilled to officially launch the BWF Community – a new evolution of the festival’s mission, starting this June.
This is a hybrid space - with both online and in-person touchpoints - where our conversations don’t have to stop. It will include:
Quarterly in-person forums to gather, reflect and share
Online meetups, like our new ‘Meet & Align’ series
Public promotion through our Directory and What’s On pages
A space for real dialogue, deeper connection, and collaborative growth
Because in these uncertain times, community isn’t just nice to have, it’s essential. And I truly believe we are stronger, braver, and wiser when we stand together.
What This All Comes Down To…
I created this festival to celebrate you - the coaches, therapists, teachers, guides, space-holders, and visionaries doing the work that matters. And now, I want to go further by helping you feel more supported, seen, and connected - all year round.
Our next gathering, “Stronger Together: How to Create Impactful Wellness Communities”, is coming up soon. I hope to see many of you there.
Until then, thank you for walking this path with me. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for believing that a more honest, inclusive, and connected version of wellness is possible — because it is.
Much love,
Natasha x
